چکیده

We revisit the implications of the R-invariant New Inflation model to the supersymmetric standard model in light of recent discussion of gravitino production processes by the decay of the inflaton or the supersymmetry breaking field. We show that the models with supergravity mediation do not go well with the R-invariant New Inflation model, where the gravitino abundance produced by the decay of the inflaton or the supersymmetry breaking field significantly exceeds the bounds from cosmological observations without fine-tuning. We also show that the models with gauge mediation can go together with R-invariant New Inflation model, where the dark matter and the baryon asymmetry are consistently explained without severe fine-tuning. arXiv:0710.1883[hep-ph] October 2007

New developments on embedding inflation in gauge theory and particle physics

In this brief review we will discuss how a well motivated particle theory beyond the eletroweak Standard Model provides ingredients and conditions for a successful inflation. We will mainly focus on a low energy supersymmetric Standard Model which provides plenty of scalars. In particular, these scalars span a multidimensional moduli space of gauge invariant operators which carry the Standard M...

Gauge-invariant inflaton in the minimal supersymmetric standard model.

We argue that all the necessary ingredients for successful inflation are present in the flat directions of the Minimally Supersymmetric Standard Model. We show that out of many gauge-invariant combinations of squarks, sleptons, and Higgs bosons, there are two directions, LLe and udd, which are promising candidates for the inflaton. The model predicts more than 10(3) e-foldings, with an inflatio...

Curvatons in the minimally supersymmetric standard model

Curvaton is an effectively massless field whose energy density during inflation is negligible but which later becomes dominant. This is a novel mechanism to generate the scale invariant perturbations. I discuss the possibility that the curvaton could be found among the fields of the minimally supersymmetric standard model (MSSM), which contains a number of flat directions along which the renorm...

A-term inflation and the smallness of the neutrino masses

The smallness of the neutrino masses may be related to inflation. The minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with small neutrino Yukawa couplings already has all the necessary ingredients for a successful inflation. In this model the inflaton is a gauge-invariant combination of the right-handed sneutrino, the slepton, and the Higgs field, which generate a flat direction suitable for infla...

Leptogenesis in a Realistic Supersymmetric Model of Inflation with a Low Reheat Temperature

We discuss leptogenesis in a realistic supersymmetric model of inflation with a low reheat temperature 1-10 GeV. The lepton asymmetry is generated by a decaying right handed sneutrino, which is produced after inflation during preheating. The inflationary model is based on a simple variant of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard model (NMSSM) which solves the μ problem, called φNMSSM, whe...
